The ARC- Tropical and Subtropical Crops (ARC-TSC) seeks to appoint highly skilled, experienced, and dynamic person to the following position at Levubu, Limpopo.
Job Description
  • Undertake PhD study for four years in Crop Science, Horticulture and or Agronomy.
  • Provide research support to indigenous vegetables project.
  • Transfer research knowledge through popular and peer-reviewed publications, national and international presentations, and technical bulletins.
  • Laying out of the research trials.
  • Collect, capture, analyse, interpret and discuss research data and make recommendations.
  • Renders diagnostic and advisory services at a national level.
  • Ensure compliance with SHE/OHS policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as prescribed by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
  • MSc in Crop Science, Horticulture, Agronomy or any other related field.
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • A valid driver’s licence would be an added advantage.
  • Ability to do physical work outside in the field, greenhouse and laboratory.
  • Ability to liaise with researchers on project progress and participation pertaining to research activities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in the MS office suite.
